This is a very common question we get from individuals and medical professionals looking to improve lives through hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Because people are unique, hyperbaric oxygen therapy can feel slightly different to each person.
Here’s the most common feedback we receive.
Using an HBOT chamber is a comfortable and relaxing experience:
Inside the chamber you are free to move around as you please. People often use time spent in an HBOT chamber to nap, read a book, or even listen to music!
What about ear pressure?
Some people experience a fullness in the ears as the pressure in the chamber increases and decreases. This feeling is similar to what you experience when you fly in an airplane (also a pressurized cabin) – during changes in altitude or via taking off and landing. The fullness can easily be alleviated through yawning or swallowing techniques.
Will I feel claustrophobic? Will I be able to see out of the chamber?
Every person is unique but nearly everyone shares that they are quite comfortable in our HBOT chambers, which include these features to help reduce any anxiety and provide a comforting, safe feeling:
- Large, transparent “windows”
- Roomy interior
- Easy to open and close
